The current reigning World Champion Lewis Hamilton has won the F1 Drivers Championship a staggering 7 times which is the tied record also held by Michael Schumacher. He also holds the record for most wins at 99.

The only other driver to win 7 world titles. Michael Schumacher (retired) was near unstoppable in his day winning 7  world champions between 1991 to 2006 but returning to the sport in 2010 and retiring for a second time in 2012 only to be replaced by Lewis Hamilton.
